What is a Secret Santa generator?
A Secret Santa generator is a tool that randomly assigns each person in a group someone to buy a gift for, while keeping every assignment secret. It replaces the traditional hat full of paper slips. The classic hat has three problems: someone always draws their own name, couples draw each other, and it only works when everyone is in the same room. A generator solves all three, and an online generator works for families spread across cities and for remote teams.

How to draw Secret Santa names online (no email)
- Enter the names. Go to the generator and type each participant. Three people is the minimum; up to sixty works fine for an office.
- Set the details. Add a budget ("$25 max"), the exchange date and a short message. These show up on every participant's page so nobody has to ask.
- Add exclusions. Pick pairs that should not draw each other: couples, siblings, people who already exchange gifts. The draw respects them in both directions.
- Draw. You land on your organizer dashboard with a list of participants and a private link for each.
- Send the links. Tap "WhatsApp" next to a name to send a prefilled message, or copy all links at once and paste them into your group chat, one line per person. Each link only reveals that person's assignment.
Bookmark your dashboard. It shows who has opened their link and lets you resend a link if someone loses it.
Exclusions: keeping couples apart
In a family Secret Santa, the most common complaint is "I got my own wife". Exclusions fix that. When you add an exclusion between two people, the generator guarantees neither of them draws the other. You can add several exclusions per person. If you add so many that a valid draw becomes impossible (for example, in a group of four where everyone excludes two people), the generator tells you instead of producing a broken draw.
Wishlists that only your Santa can see
Once a participant opens their link, they can write a wishlist: sizes, favorite snacks, things they already own. Only the person who drew them can read it. How does a Secret Santa generator without email work?

What if someone loses their link?
Open your organizer dashboard (bookmark it after the draw) and copy that person's link again. The link never changes unless you redraw.
Can I redraw?
Yes, as long as nobody has opened their link yet. After the first reveal, redrawing is disabled so nobody ends up with two different people.
Do participants need to sign up or install anything?
No. Links open in any browser on any phone. Participants can optionally write a wishlist that only their Secret Santa can see.
How is this different from Elfster or DrawNames?
